Hotel Guest Reviews of the Best Western King Salmon Motel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The rooms were large. Our room had a queen and king bed so there was plenty of room for everyone
We couldn't adjust the heat in the room so it was about 80 degrees all night long. There was a window that we could open though. The hotel did not have a portable crib for my infant. They said they used to have one but got rid of it

Dont be fooled by the exterior. This is an older hotel but the rooms have been kept up well. The room was large and the linens were clean. We had one king and one queen bed in our room. There was a good-sized fridge in the room too. We asked to be placed in a room with no neighbors if possible (since we had an infant and didn't want to wake people in the middle of the night with her crying) and that request was accomodated. Unfortunately, they could not provide me with a portable crib. The desk attendant told me they 'used to' have one but got rid of it because it didn't meet safety specifications. So, we had to block the baby in with pillows on the bed, which isn't terribly effective with a 16 month old. Overall, the hotel was quiet. We were on the back side of the hotel, not facing the road, so that might've made a difference. One really nice feature was the vouchers for breakfast. We received 2 adult vouchers for 15.00 each and one child voucher for 10.00 to use at the restaurant on the premesis. The restaurant had good food and several choices for breakfast. I had an omelet with hashbrowns and toast, while my husband had country fried steak and my daughter had waffles. Other folks with us had biscuits and gravy. This is much better than a contenintal breakfast, in my opinion. Check out time was at noon so we had time to get up, get ready, have a leisurely breakfast and then return to the room and prepare for check out. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by how good our stay was, despite the little things (skip the in-room coffee, btw...) and I would definitely stay here again. ...read more

Good, easy to use heating system; good shower; good restaurant.
Flat screen TV was a little on the small side; and chairs at "dining table" were very uncomfortable.

Okay.

Clean rooms.
Restaurant was not open as stated.

The room we were given was upstairs and in the back. Difficult parking for full size vehicle and trucks. The restaurant was not open at 6am as stated in their information.

The room was ready at 2 pm when we got there instead of 4 pm.
The roof was dripping on the back stairway and we only had one cup's worth of caffeinated coffee in the room.

Basic motel room which was fine with us but it was cost more than we would have liked to spend.
