Hotel Guest Reviews of the Belmar Inn

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The proximity of the motel to the beach and food was good.
The motel was too cramped. The motel needs major renovation from door locks and knobs to shower heads and floor carpets. The overall cleanliness of the motel needs major overhaul.

Its at a good location for young teenage and college kids. Too expensive for a 2 star motel.

proximity to beach
no elevator, rooms was small, bathroom even smaller. light bulbs did not work, faucet falling off sink, etc.

Way overpriced for what you get. I wouldn't spend overxxx to stay in this kind of room. Staff was really friendly.

The night staff was very nice and accommodating when we had to call them at 3am because of a huge issue in the room. Can't say the same for the day staff. It was also wicked close to the beach/boardwalk.
The room wasn't great as expected, it was only two stars and the shore has many crazy guests throughout the summer as well. Very outdated, but the bathroom was clean and so was the rest of the room for the most part which is really all I could ask for.

Unfortunately, when we went to go to sleep, we pulled down the covers and there were dried blood and/or bodily fluid stains. They didn't take us seriously until I took pictures of it and refused to go to bed until they had AT LEAST changed our sheets. And apologized like a hundred times. In the morning, they said they would be happy to refund me HALF of what I paid since we "actually did sleep there for the night" and trust me if I had had another choice at the time, I would have left. The manager eventually refunded me the entire price, after re-explaining the sequence of events. But I will say that the security guard that night, CJ, was the nicest of them all. Thank god for him. ...read more

Close to the beach and walking distance from djais.
Needs remodeling, carpet was dirty, sheets slightly smelled.

Did its purpose for a one night stay but nothing more than that.

Every member of the staff we met was very personable, they answered questions, gave suggestions when asked and if we needed anything they got it right away. Liz was especially helpful with superb customer service, going above and beyond.

Belmar Inn has the big advantage of being close to the beach. Anyone familiar with Jersey shore hotels would know this is a good value for the money. We had two rooms and they were large with high ceilings. Rooms were both very clean.

Proximity to the beach
Noise in other rooms, rooms were not clean at all, spots on the furniture. For the price I paid!

The hotel needs some serious upgrade. The rooms were dirty with worn-out furniture dating from the 80s. The hotel looks more like a seedy motel along a highway than a beach hotel.
