Hotel Guest Reviews of the Bayview Motel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Sun coming in the window in the afternoon.
The lighting in the rooms was awful, you were asked to flush a certain way and pull the curtains a certain way. No breakfast at all. Mostly I didn't like the layout and the darkness of the room or the horrible lighting in the ceiling.

It has a view of the Humboldt Harbor, sort of, mostly of a power plant. Traffic noise was bad. Eureka as a whole not a good town to be in except for a small old section with the best bookstore I've ever seen -- Eureka Bookstore.

It was easy to find. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was nice and very clean.
Road noise was really loud.

The only thing wrong here is that there is no air conditioning. You can open the Windows and door to let the breeze in, but your staying right above the 101. The road noise is terrible. Other than that, it is easy to find, nice rooms, and very clean.

The room was quiet even with a completely full hotel.
The location is just OK. The view of the bay is not particularly pretty with commercial properties and a tank farm prominent.

This is a basic, functional, hotel. Do not expect fancy decor or an impressive view. An "ok" value for the money.

The beautiful rooms and the friendly staff
The view was disappointing because of rundown municipal/industrial facilities in the estuary as viewed from our room.

What a beautiful, restful experience! If I return to Eureka, without a doubt, I'll try to stay here.

Friendly staff, easy parking, clean, and comfortable!
Entrance is just past the light and hard to spot in the dark. White paint/stones along drive would help.

It was very quiet, clean and friendly. It was comfortable and had a nice view.
There were no snack machines and only one ice machine.

This was a nice quiet inn that was located just off the highway so traffic noise was at a minimum during the night.

Nice location up on a hill. Clean room. Comfortable bed.
Cold. Heater would not get room over 68 degrees no matter how high you turned up the thermostat.

Funny room layout. Reminds me of an assisted living apartment. Balcony was nice, but not very private. Privacy walls or screens between the rooms would be nice. Does have a "bay view" but is not terribly serene as it includes factories with smoke pouring out of them and traffic filled streets between the hotel and the water. Not bad overall though. Would probably stay there again if the price was right. ...read more
