Hotel Guest Reviews of the Basileus Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Extremely friendly, helpful staff. Great location -- easy walk to Blue Mosque, etc.
I'm used to more light in the room, but it was ok.

Exceedingly friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room. Bountiful breakfast included.
Nothing to dislike.

Hotel is just a few minutes' walk to all the major tourinst attractions of Sultanhamet. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's almost like staying at a friend's house (if your friend owns a hotel with large rooms). And there is a small liquor store next door too.

Beautiful and clean room! The staff was very helpful and so friendly. The hotel is located in a walking distance to the famous historical areas.

Make sure to chat with the staff when you arrive for places you should visit and what restaurants you should try. They are very knowledgeable. They speak English very well. There is a small restaurant almost across the street called '.... slow food'. We had meals there almost every day. It was recommended to us by a local and it became our favorite spot. Also, the Turkish delight shop across the street is amazing! The woman who runs the place is great, speaks English very well. We had coffee there daily. ...read more

Great service, good location. Breakfast good.
Bed was too hard for my liking. Economy room had no windows that were reachable.

If you want to feel well taken care of in a small hotel in a great location stay at this hotel.

The character of the hotel was excellent, along with the helpful staff & great breakfast.
I had some "bites" on my skin upon check out..was very worried about bedbugs - not sure.Could have been something else I guess but my husband had too.

I can't say enough about how much easier this wonderful family-owned hotel made our trip. They went above & beyond to be helpful. The rooms were very, very, nice & the breakfast was awesome. Everyone was friendly. We loved it.
