Hotel Guest Reviews of the Americas Best Value Inn Winslow
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.January 2, 2013

Knowing the price of this hotel, I was not expecting a Hilton. I was expecting a mediocre hotel with out of date linens. What we got was only a step or two up from a dive. What I encountered was:1. The staff was unfriendly and unwilling to allow us a slightly later checkout to accommodate our schedule. (We ended up killing time at a restaurant, instead.) 2. The TV was so old that half of the remote buttons would not work, and some of the advertised channels were so fuzzy you could not watch them.3. The bed was horrible! One of the worst that I have ever slept, or rather tossed and turned in. 4. The bathroom tiles we loose and would wobble as we stepped on them. 5. The breakfast was okay, very limited, but it was what I was expecting. 6. The location off the freeway was good, but most of the businesses around the hotel were closed so there was nowhere convenient to go to for food. All in all, the hotel was bad, uncomfortable and a bit sleazy. For the $50 price I would go somewhere else. ...

Was very dissapointed in our stay. The bathroom was very dirty as were the carpets. Although the pool area seemed quite nice we did not have the time to use it. The breakfast was the best part of the stay! Hot fresh waffles and actual sausage. There was also an assortment of cereals and fruit. The desk clerk seemed to also be the owner and was not the best one we have dealt with on our cross country trip. It seems like a very depressed area and the hotel seems to be struggeling to stay open. I wuld not want to see them close but do think they need to bring up their cleanliness standards. ...

It was run down and dirty. We picked that hotel because it had a pool and it was broken. Our room had disgusting carpet and stain spatter on the ceiling. I was happy that we didn't end up taking home any bed bugs.

This hotel is in a horrible part of town. Nestled in between the freeway and the train tracks. The one reason we decided to stay here was for the pool. All the kids wanted to do this vacation was swim at the hotel. When we checked in the host told us the pool needed some repair parts for the heater installed. The maintenance guy was off and would be back tomorrow to fix it. It was never fixed and these guys told my wife a totally different story. They told her that all it needed was an ADA chair installed. Which ever story was true, they had lied to one of us. We never did get a chance to get in the pool this vacation, and due to the disappointment left without staying our last night. I do not recommend this place. ...

This hotel has no frills, but it does the basics really well. The price is low, the room was impeccably clean, and the place was quiet and safe. Breakfast had waffles, which is always fun. I was impressed by the fantastic customer service at a seemingly low-end place.

I would stay there again. I have told others about this hotel and the people there were very friendly.
