Spiders were found in the bathroom. The front chain lock was hanging by a screw that was loose. The bathtub had not been cleaned, there were stains in it and body hair. When I asked for the owner's name and address she said that person lives in Texas and has no power over the cleaning staff. She offered to find me another hotel, but not at the price I paid for this room. She changed the sheets and I had to ask her to change the mattress cover. I removed the blanket and coverlet and told her I did not want another,I was worried they had not been laundered.I stayed the night due to the late hour, but it was a restless night. The ratings for this motel and comments I read were not favorable, but I had hoped to find a better experience. I stay often out of town and have never commented negatively on a room and am not pleased about having to now. I strongly feel this motel should not be recommened for travelers to the area.I suspect the lady at the front desk was either an owner or manager since she was there the entire time I stayed, however she was not helpful and very negative and did not offer to refund my money or offer any other encentive for me to not have negative thoughts abput the motel.She had no name tag and I noted she had dirty fingernails. ...

I will not return to this hotel. The smell of it was horrific. We had a door that would not work with the key card. We had to go to the front desk three times before we got placed into a different room. There was a dirty wet towel in the first room and in the second room we were placed in. I was not impressed at all with this hotel and paid way too much!

I had reservations for three nights. My first clue should have been the dirty cleaning rag laying in the floor when we first walked into the room; however, I just put it out in the hall. It was a non-smoking room, but it still had the stale odor from when it must have been a smoking room. Other than that, the room appeared very clean--that is, until I sat on the commode. Then I could see the mold/mildew in the groove above the tub.The next morning, I called the AmericInn and asked if they had a room available. We weren't about to take a bath in that tub!! The hotel manager more than made up for the inferior facilities. She did her best to accomodate us and make our stay as pleasant as possible.

This is not a place to stay if you want a speedy check in or a cup of coffee at the appointed time breakfast is supposed to be available. At 6:00 PM we rang a front desk bell. After a few minutes, a man appeared and asked if we could wait five minutes to check in. After five minutes, a women appeared and processed our check in. She was pleasant and helpful. She said breakfast was included and available at 6:00 AM. At 6:30 AM, the front door to the motel and breakfast room were still locked up. A while later the breakfast room was unlocked. The coffee machine did not work at all. After notifying the front desk, the woman who checked us in tried diligently to make it work to no avail. She then pulled out a domestic-kitchen style coffee pot and made a half pot of coffee. She offered apologies and said she couldn't run both the commercial and domestic coffee pot at the same time. The room was clean and comfortable but professionalism is not offered and we would not ever reappear at this facility and do not recommend it to anyone. ...
