Hotel Guest Reviews of the Americas Best Value Inn Manhattan Kansas

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

check in process was a mess

This is a typical old hotel from the 70's. It has not been updated. If it were not a game weekend at K-State, we would never have stayed there. (--- for this place is a joke, this is a --- room)

It was cheap!
Was not the cleanest! Bathtub needed bleached, blanket had a cigarette burn in it. Pillowcases and sheets were dingy.

The staff was pretty friendly.
The sort list: leftover food from someone else still in the fridge. Pretty sure the pillow cases have never been changed. Crack in the window. Mystery stains on most every surface. The bible in the drawer even had a "mystery moldy liquid" covering it.

Basically, there is no price other than free that would justify staying here.

The bed and pillows were great.
Pool was not open due to pump out (was very green). Hotel on the run down side. Breakfast was till 9 but at 8 there was barely anything. Cable and internet went out for sometime while.

Th epool was better than expected and they have a nice swingset for kids. Also, free ice for ice chests.
They really do not have much of a breakfast and they didn't clean the room after the first day.

Overall, a good price value when all you need is a room.

the location was just fine, the staff was not around for maid service. there was a very open presence of police force around for the type of hotel this was. there was something that the college was doing and caused the police being at the motel.
it would have been nice to know that the college was going to have a weekend that would cause problems for this area.

The stay at this hotel was okay except the lack of maid service, and presence of the local police force, not only at the time of arrival but, every night while the college students were out and about. If we were able to leave to take another room somewhere else we would have. But awaken at 2am with all the loud talking and "banging of the heads", seems like staff could have done a better job on keeping the problems quiet and away from all other guest. Yes the room was nice and reasonable for the price paid but still under renovation it looked to us. Parts of beds and toilets seats laying around outside, clued us in on the renovations. There were pieces of the bathroom walls that needed replaced, the trim all around the entire room needs attention. ...read more
