Hotel Guest Reviews of the Amara Resort & Spa, A Kimpton Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Quiet and small. Right in the middle of town. Wine hour was a fabulous bonus and the views were perfect. Will be staying here again!

The location is great and they have shuttle that will take you within a mile of the hotel. The wine hour was a nice added bonus. Rooms were status quo for any hotel. The hotel was really clean and most of the stay was very friendly.
The staff was very nice except one person at the very end of our trip when we were checking out. I simply had a question about the bill and she was condesending and rude. She left a bad taste in my mouth; which is sad because everyone else was wonderfully

The staff was youthful and amazingly attentive.
Comparing the resort to the other local 4-star resorts is difficult. It lacks the charm and visual impact of the others... and isn't as naturally enveloped by its surroundings.

Great location, staff, and amenities. Patio and pool were just what we were looking for.
Very nice place.

Staff was very helpful. Did a complementary yoga class in the morning that was excellent and refreshing. The pool and patio are beautiful. Highly recommend.

Great location. Pretty grounds and pool area.
Pool was beautiful, but experience was ruined by obnoxious families allowing their children to splash and play games in the small pool. Staff should have been more aware of the fact that people were leaving due to these people.

I would stay again. Live music was a plus on Saturday night. My only complaint was that there was no ice machines. You had to call the front desk to have your ice delivered.

Clean and well maintained hotel with great amenities in a nice location.
Very Steep walk to street. Only convenient for young families if not driving around.

Very convenient to restaurants/shops.

Above all the staff at this resort where amazing. Each staff member was extemely polite and helpful. All the staff always assisted promptly and in a friendly manner. I especially enjoyed the complementry valet parking attendends, they were friendly.
Many of the rooms in the resort were under construction.

The location is centraly located on the main road of Sedona. If you like to be away from the tourism this may not be the best place. With that said, however, the hotel is located below the main strip so you sill bet a peaceful environment.

Great views from the back patio of the restaurant, great food at breakfast.
Overpriced and they gave little consideration when we told them there was a spider in the bed, stating that was "normal". Also, no free WiFi
