If you value friendly staff and good breakfast, go to 7 seas next door. If you like the spa tub for after ski and slightly better rooms, I recommend Alpine Inn.

Hot tub is hand-made, it is warm and it is a tub. We met good people there. I'd stay again. but I had hoped it to be a bit nicer.

Our car battery had died over night so we could not get our car to start. The owner was kind enough to come out and help us.He got some jumper cables, brought his truck over and gave us a jump. Very nice of him. we would have had to call AAA if he didn't help us. We'd definitely stay here again.

Average low end hotel. Probably wouldn't stay there again unless some updates were done.

The hotel was well managed and cared for. It was very clean and had everything we needed. It did get a little warm in the room, and we had to run the air conditioner and ceiling fan continuously.

The Alpine Inn & Spa is a great value. Located in a wooded area right on the state line, and very close to the lake, the inn offers fairly contemporary furnishings at a low price. Our room was clean and had an updated bathroom with nice tiling in the shower (no tub) and a stylish pedestal sink. The desk and dresser were nicked up, but at least they were not ugly as furniture in budget motels usually are. The AC worked, and our room was quiet. Rooms are arranged in a U-shape around a charming courtyard, which includes the pool, hot tub and a pair of swings on a perfectly manicured lawn. Somebody has been taking excellent care of the grass and flowerbeds. They looked fantastic, and provided a very pleasant place to sit and relax after a long day trekking. You won't confuse this place with a 5-star resort, but you will probably appreciate its charm, cleanliness, close proximity to the lake and casinos, and especially the price. ...
