Rooms are large and the full kitchen makes this hotel unique among others in Manhattan.
Some minor wear and tear or oddities about the room - two of the four burners on the gas stove had igniters that did not work effectively, the microwave had hardly any power, and some of the bedroom lights took ~5 minutes to fully turn off.

Great location in Murray Hill - a lot of good restaurants in the area and an easy crosstown walk to 5th Ave shopping and Penn Station. The full kitchen is the real winner, though - with reasonably priced groceries so close, this easily saved us $40-50 per day on food. Staff were helpful and accommodating for an early check-in.

One minor complaint - no fans in the bathroom when showering

I had high expectations for this hotel and they were definitely met! When we checked in I asked for a room on a high floor and the gentleman at the front desk happily accommodated my request. When we got up to the room...WOW!!! Even though many of the reviews I read said the rooms were spacious I was still quite shocked...it was huge!! Definitely not the typical cramped NYC hotel room. Two comfortable beds, a large desk, a very nice big flat screen TV, ample closet and drawer space and a kitchen. The bathroom was very nice as well, not huge but it was large enough. I always worry about noise from the elevators and other guests when I stay in a hotel but the only thing we heard while in the room was street noise (but hey, its NY!) I liked the full kitchen, the large lounge chair in the room, the size of the room.
The price for valet parking.

I enjoyed my stay at the Affinia Dumont. The location was convenient to the subway & bus & a good selection of local restaurants. The room was a very good size & had a full kitchen which was excellent. I was traveling with two toddlers and we were all very comfortable there for our two night stay. I would definitely return to this hotel.

I have stayed at the Affinia Dumont many times. I like the rooms (large, clean, with kitchenware, microwave, refrigerator).
I like virtually everything about this hotel. My one, minor reservation is the $13.95/day surcharge for internet, when so many hotels offer free internet. But all else is exemplary.

I consider this an excellent hotel in a safe and appealing location, with a cordial, professional staff.

The bed was amazing. Not only was it clean and gigantic, but the choice of multiple pillows. Heaven!
The internet was confusing. You had to pay in the room, but the lobby was free. That being said, I was never given instructions on how to log in!

The area around the hotel was under construction, but what place isn't in NYC? The staff was really friendly and helpful. The room was very clean.

Room was super clean and fresh. Bed so comfortable with top quality linens. Little kitchen a real bonus for our breakfasts. Staff was very professional, concierge service excellent.
